Charlie Chaplin needs a new home, the Furr-Ever indoor only home he deserves.
Charlie means the world to all of us at Joanne’s – he embodies what we are… saving one life, making a brave one-eyed kitten into a wonderful loving little man, making everyone who meets him smile. Located in San Diego, California – he isn’t special needs with his one eye …he is just EXTREMELY special. Good with little kids, dogs, cats, probably even dinosaurs. He thinks the world is his oyster, even if he has to squint with his good eye a bit and pat it on the head with his paw to see if it is an alligator instead of an oyster (ps: he would probably still try to make friends with the gator).

— There were red-flags with the original adopter and we tried to do the right thing for her small child – he loved Charlie and Charlie loved him too. Luckily, we’ve stayed in touch … in fact, we’ve had Charlie with us more often than not over the last 3-4 months since his original adoption (hes approx 8 months old now but small and somewhat kitten-like). Original adopter ended up having a number of family emergencies and a lot on her plate, so it made sense to help her rehome him–
His original story: Rescued from a hoarding situation in San Diego, Charlie Chaplin will be looking for his furrever home! He is scheduled to be neutered and his bad eye cosmetically removed on October 13th. He is a snuggle bug with a huge purr. His healthy eye has been saved with meds and he has vision in it. He doesn’t even notice his ruined eye. His markings and his personality are one of a kind! Luckily all the kittens were socialized to some degree and are very friendly! Their elderly owner just got in over his head and didn’t have the ability to help his kitties or himself. Charlie and his two siblings are approx. 8 weeks old as of 9/28/2021.
