Meet “Apollo”

Apollo has been living with an adopter for a couple of years, but his canine housemate is allergic to cats, and Apollo has also started bullying the pit bull mix. For the wellbeing of both pets, it is time to find Apollo a new forever home.

He deserves a place where he can feel warm, cuddled, and well-fed. Since kittenhood, Apollo has experienced various phases of life—from being a kitten with a dog friend, to dealing with a new, intimidating dog which chased him outside, to surviving outdoors on his own, and now being returned after two years because he just wasn’t a good match for the pup. He is now in search of his new, safe, and warm forever phase.

Apollo is happiest when lying in bed watching TV. He is the most handsome, fluffy cat you can imagine! His fur and eyes are truly stunning. You would be hard-pressed to find a more handsome long-haired cat, even among purebreds. He is good with his litter box and will eat almost anything he can find. Apollo is perhaps the most handsome cat we have ever had the pleasure of caring for. He might do well with a quiet, older dog that ignores him. We recommend a home without children under the age of 12.

Apollo is neutered and has received his FVRCP and rabies vaccinations. He has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. He is also litter box trained. Currently located in Orange County, Apollo is expected to move to our adoption location in San Diego. Adoption fee is $50 to an INDOOR ONLY home. Apollo is approximately 6 years old. Don’t hesitate to contact us at 858-883-4222 to arrange a meeting with him, either in Orange County or San Diego. For more information, visit JoannesFurryFriends.com.

*As a 501(c)(3) organization, all adoption fees and donations are tax deductible.

You can read more about how/why Apollo ended up fending for himself from the original owner in her own words on this PDF she sent us. We were asked to help by a neighbor that had been feeding him for the last half a year when the weather started to get cold again.
