Meet “Malibu”

Meet Malibu (Chevy).

Poor Malibu had her kittens in a car overnight at Courtesy Chevrolet. We received a call when a caring mechanic tried to find help for her and her three kittens (one other kitten died during delivery).

We took the kittens in and tried to bottle feed them while we tried to trap Mama. We were lucky enough to trap her that night using a blanket that her kittens had laid on. Courtesy Chevrolet was kind enough to allow me access on a Sunday to try to reunite Malibu with her babies even though the service center was closed. Sadly, she was sick enough from the delivery (or maybe eating rat poison since she had to dumpster dive to survive) that she rejected her kittens.

The kittens weren’t quite right either and they sadly died one by one in my arms over an 8 hour period – even though they had been getting the hang of syringe feeding.

Malibu has been spayed/vaccinated (she did have a uterus infection which might have been why the kittens were sick and premature). She is a little shy with people – although she loves her foster dad.  She is GREAT with other cats. She will need a quiet and patient home, hopefully with other cats.

INDOOR-ONLY homes! We are willing to bring her to the right home at no cost to adopter practically anywhere in the US. Most likely she will not do well with dogs or little children.
