Meet “Hagrid”
My new name is Hagrid, I had some bad luck when my name was Winnie – so hopefully my new Harry Potter name will bring me good luck! Plus I’m located in Anaheim next to the most magical place on earth! I am a CHONKY, long-haired, handsome boy with huge eyes and white feet. I can be carried around like a rag-doll. I had a furrever home, but I heard my adopter-mama saying that her ex-husband was claiming he was allergic to my fur on his son. It makes me really sad because I loved my human big brother. My human big brother called me his “Best Fren”. We slept together every night from the time he adopted me when I was a kitten. I went to another adopter right away a few months ago, but that adopter wanted to declaw me because he didn’t know how to trim toenails and his other cat was declawed and he didn’t want to offer me a scratching post and my claws were getting stuck in the carpet. Joanne’s Furry Friends took me back and my foster family LOVES me so much that they don’t want to give me up, but if they are going to save other kitties, I need an adopter. I heard my foster family say that I’m their favorite – they’ve fostered 14+ other kitties.
Approximately 1.5 years old, Hagrid formerly known as Winnie, is neutered/vaccinated with his first round of FVRCP. Joanne’s Furry Friends rescued him when he was a kitten (along with his siblings) on a lot in Clairemont. He went with his brother Wilbur, to what should have been a furrever home. Unfortunately divorces take a toll on pets as well as families. The ex-husband claimed in court that he was allergic to the cat hair on his son during visitation and the judge sided with him. The judge ordered that Hagrid (formerly known as Winnie) and Wilbur be kicked out. We are sad for Winnie and Wilbur, but we are also sad for the little boy that loved them for a year and then was used as a pawn in a divorce.
Hagrid is absolutely ready for his furrever home! Good with other cats, kids and cat-wise dogs!
