Meet “Edgar Allan Poe aka Poe”

Edgar Allan Poe (Poe) and his brother, Pez, were both rescued from a horse ranch in Riverside County. Poe and Pez, however, were surprisingly friendly from the day we trapped them, enjoying chin rubs and engaging in snuggles and playtime. Pez is known for his big purr, continuing throughout the night. Because they came from a dangerous outdoor home, they both have some stranger danger (after all it probably kept them alive), so we would expect them to be a little cautious for the first few days in a new home. Their mother and sisters were TNR’d back onto the property as they were a little too spicy and too set in their ways to be domesticated. We need to find these boys a loving forever home where they don’t have to hide from coyotes or scrounge for food again! 🐱🏡

They are not in the same foster home and they do not need to be adopted together. However, both are good with other cats. Pez will need another kitty in the home as he still cries for his mama when FurrLecia, his foster mama is asleep and ignoring him (and it’s recommended for Poe to have a brave kitty buddy as well). They also get along well with polite dogs and kids who understand cats. 🐶👧

Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and equipped with FVRCP + Rabies shots, Poe and Pez are dewormed, flea-free, and are litterbox trained.
