This stunning calico, 1-2 year-old sweetheart is as gentle and radiant as her name suggests. Aphrodite is elegant, affectionate, and is looking forward to being a kitty, rather than raising litter after litter in her young life. She has a pipe cleaner that she carries around as if she has never had a toy of her own (we call it her emotional support pipe cleaner).💕
Given up for adoption pregnant, her owner said she didn’t like cleaning her litter box so it was easier to just let her outside. Originally the owner insisted she have this last litter (wouldn’t allow us to spay/abort) and wanted Aphrodite back – but then decided she was just too old to care for her correctly. Her two kittens, Callisto and Hercules were born in our foster care to keep them safe from being born on the streets are ready for adoption so Aphrodite is looking for her forever home as well. 💗
Now spayed and fully vetted, Aphrodite is ready to live life as a beloved housecat—not just a mama. She’s outgoing, social, and incredibly sweet. Having lived in a home and outside on the streets with over 40 cats, she gets along well with others and would likely do great with friendly, cat-savvy dogs and respectful kids too.

Aphrodite came from a home overwhelmed by cats. When we arrived to help, many cats jumped right into our car. Most were pregnant or nursing, and over 90% were incredibly friendly—just like her. This situation is a powerful reminder of the urgent need for accessible spay/neuter services. What began as two cats quickly became over 40, and we’ve been revisting the location every other month trying not to lose all the progress we made. 💔
We are full and overwhelmed. Aphrodite is located with her kittens and foster in Poway (San Diego)!
