Meet “Anton”

Meet Anton the Cat! 🐾

We named Anton after our vet’s dog, so we like to clarify. Anton came to us as a tiny bottle baby, found in the middle of the road with a severe infection on his back, caused by his mother’s grip being too tight. Her teeth left an abscess, and at under 100g, he was incredibly fragile. Fortunately, our vet fit him in at the last minute to drain the abscess, leaving it open so we could apply hot compresses a couple of times a day to help it drain. At times, it felt like more yellow goo was coming out of his back than the amount of kitten milk he was drinking from the syringe!

Thankfully, our quick intervention worked, and Anton has thrived with his foster mom and kitty foster siblings. He’s now extremely confident, outgoing, and brave. Anton does well with both dogs and cats when introduced politely and would be great with respectful children. He was even a favorite during his daily visits to his foster’s grandmother’s nursing home!

Bottle-fed kittens often view humans differently—they see us as their best friends. Now, little Anton is ready to find his forever home! He would LOVE to have at least one other kitty in the house. Remember, INDOOR ONLY HOMES! 🏡 Anton will be neutered this week, and has been vaccinated with his first FVRCP.  Plus flea treated, dewormed, and of course, litterbox trained. 🩺
