Meet “Chanel”

Meet Chanel – a very nice man spent hours feeding her before and after work in Oceanside near the freeway, but couldn’t quite get her to let him pick her up. Then one day he noticed she had put on a LOT of weight…. she was very, very pregnant. He contacted us and we taught him how to drop trap and he was able to catch her. She was so far along that it would have been dangerous to spay/abort – so she had her kittens in a safe home. She most likely would have died on the street as she is so tiny and the SIX kittens were so big that labor took a day and a half. After each kitten was delivered she would fall asleep with the placenta still attached and the kitten in the bag. Luckily her temporary foster mama took care of the babies for her and would wake her up to keep her going. All SIX babies are healthy and will be ready for adoption toward the end of September!

Chanel will be spayed and has a furrever home with her knight in shining armor rescuer!
