Meet “Dolores, Isabela, Mirabel & Luisa”
Meet Mama “Julietta” (she and her babies are named after the Madrigal characters).
Julietta still needs an adopter – however her kittens have been adopted. She is very sweet!! A loving caring mama. Super duper mellow. Loves to cuddle and purr. She deserves a wonderful warm safe life on a lap watching TV and looking peacefully out a window.
We received a call on Sunday, February 20th from a lady in Lakeside. She had been feeding some cats a riding stable, but the stable was closing and one of the cats (all the others had been TNR’d) was very pregnant but too trap savvy. So, I loaded up my drop trap and we worked together (Kristi, her daughter, me and some really smelly sardines) to drop trap her. It was miraculous! We trapped her in 15 minutes working together – I told them the process was like a cross between Wiley Coyote and Team Roping 🙂 It worked perfectly.
Julietta was very pregnant so we made the decision to not spay/abort. Plus she was EXTREMELY SWEET and FRIENDLY. It was like Christmas morning when she delivered four healthy kittens with the foster family watching and cheering her on.
She had her litter of kittens (available for adoption mid-May after their spay and vaccination): Dolores, Mirabel, Luisa and Isabella. So great news is if that litter had survived in the wild of Lakeside there would have been four more baby making machines on the streets.
INDOOR-ONLY homes! We are willing to bring her to the right home at no cost to adopter practically anywhere in the US. She is good with children. She has been around other cats at the barn. She is ok with calm/cat savvy dogs.
