Meet “Enid”
Meet Enid (grey and white kitten). 💞. They were both rescued from the same ranch in Riverside County, but are not from the same litter. Unfortunately, the rancher looks at cats as pest control and likes to have a steady supply of mousers – even in the face of the coyotes. So these two are very lucky to have been trapped and smuggled out. We think their litter mates ended up as coyote snacks. 😢. However, these 2 adorable snacks were saved and will never again have to face the fear of becoming coyote food.
Wednesday is between 9-10 weeks old and possibly a medium haired kitten. When she first came into the rescue, we noticed a large lump on her neck, it turns out she had what appeared to be an infection due to a bot fly larvae that was living in her neck. So, at just under 8 weeks old she had her first minor surgery and the wound was cleaned out and stitched up. Now 2 weeks later she’s all healed up. She has really come out of her shell the past 2 weeks and is finally learning to relax and play with toys. She is also great at snuggling.
Enid is our sweet, little Roly Poly. She is built short and stout, which somehow just makes her even cuter! She is about 7-8 weeks old. She came to us completely terrified, and you can tell that she must have spent her days hiding in fear. She is finally starting to play and she loves to snuggle… But you can tell she just isn’t over the fear yet. Her first instinct is to hide and hunker down. I know in time she will realize it’s ok to be out and playing and nothing will hurt her.
These girls are scheduled for their spay on 1/24/2023 and then will be ready to go to their forever homes on 1/25/2023. They will be de-wormed, de-flea’d (bot fly larva removed), spayed, and given their first FVRCP vaccine. They ARE NOT a bonded pair and can go to separate INDOOR ONLY homes.
