Meet “Flowers”

My name is Flowers. I lived in a home with my dad, Don, and all of my adopted and real brothers and sisters. There were sometimes too many of us for my human Dad to take care of… but he loved us very much. We all had access to a vet office and lots of food and litter boxes. Suddenly my human protector passed away and left all of us alone. I think there were about 30 of us in the house, but it was a little hard to tell because some of my adopted family hid a lot.

I have the most gorgeous green eyes, and black and white long fluffy hair. Although I’m approximately five years old and spayed/vaccinated – sometimes I love to be a kitten. I love to run up my kitty tree and race around in circles. Plus, I’ve been told I’m a cheap date, because I really love cardboard boxes. More than anything though, I love snuggling with my new foster family. I heard my new foster daugther say that out of all the cats she’s found homes for, she maybe loves me more than even the tiny kittens she’s bottle-fed, but that makes sense because I am so soft and fluffy and smart and cuddly! I don’t want to leave my new foster family, but I understand that I need to find a new family to share my love with all night long!

**Flower’s adoption fees have been waived to good indoor-only homes. To a great home, we will be willing to transport to the adopter at no charge, anywhere in the U.S.**

All of Flowers and her adopted siblings came from a severe hoarding situation (more info below)*.

Flowers has not been tested around super energetic dogs, although she had previously shared the house with a multitude of cats, at least one small dog and a couple of parrots. She has done well with our full-time cat, FurrLecia and lots of kittens while fostering with us.

Donations via our website are very appreciated because we are overwhelmed with this situation coupled with kitten season.

Located in San Diego, California – but we will deliver all over the US at no cost to the adopter. We can arrange times for you to meet her. Please call or text 858-883-4222. Fill out an adoption application on our website.

*All of our adult cats come from a cat hoarding situation in the North Park area of San Diego, California. Her elderly owner passed away in May 2022, leaving Flowers and her 15-30 kitty housemates (including her 3-5 siblings) without many options. Although the owner meant the best for his pets, he was in over his head, even before his health deteriorated and our Veterinarian’s office asked our help to find all the cats in the house, safe and healthy homes.

There were/are somewhere between 15-30 cats of various ages involved in the sad situation – it is hard to know for sure for a variety of reasons.  We need to find homes for these wonderful, friendly kitties ASAP because we are over limit on taking in and helping people until we’ve rehomed these wonderful, beloved kitties in good safe homes.

You can learn more about animal hoarding on the ASPCA website, but as stated, “It is a complex issue that often encompasses mental health, animal welfare and public safety concerns.”  The owner had over 30 kitty urns from his past cats displayed carefully – he truly, truly loved all animals.
