Meet “Halley”

Meet Halley (Golden Eyes)

Moonlight, Midnight, Halley and Comet are the most amazing House Panthers ever (if you don’t know what a “house panther” is – watch this funny video filmed about Cole the original famous House Panther)! An equal mix between wanting to play – they can keep themselves entertained for hours with just a hard floor and a toilet paper tube. However they also follow us around the house too! They want to all sleep on top of us and are very offended if we have to keep them out of the bedroom (or off my computer keyboard). **All of their adoption fee have been waived to good indoor-only homes. To a great home we will be willing to transport to the adopter at no charge, anywhere in the U.S.**

They all came from a severe hoarding situation (more info below)*, so I refer to them as our “Amish”  house panthers, because they had never seen TV before (check out the hilarious videos below and ignore my obnoxious vocalizations).  They make their foster parents laugh and smile a million times a day. They are truly wonderful, outgoing, dog-cats.

Approx 1-2 years old, they still think they are kittens. All four are FIV/FeLV negative. All have been treated for fleas, parasites & confirmed to be fixed.

All of the house panthers would probably do just fine with children who understand cats have claws and you have to treat them with the sort of respect you show a dog. They have not been tested around obnoxious dogs, although they has previously shared the house with a multitude of cats and at least one small dog and a couple of parrots.

Donations via our website are very appreciated because we are overwhelmed with this situation coupled with kitten season.

Located in San Diego, California – but we will deliver all over the US at no cost to the adopter. We can arrange times for you to meet her. Please call or text 858-883-4222. Fill out an adoption application on our website.

*All four siblings come from a cat hoarding situation in the North Park area of San Diego, California. Her elderly owner passed away in May 2022, leaving Halley and her 15-30 kitty housemates (including her 3-5 siblings) without many options. Although the owner meant the best for his pets, he was in over his head even before his health deteriorated and our Veterinarian’s office asked our help to find all the cats in the house, safe and healthy homes.

There were/are somewhere between 15-30 cats of various ages involved in the sad situation – it is hard to know for sure for a variety of reasons.  We need to find homes for these wonderful, friendly kitties ASAP because we are over limit on taking in and helping people until we’ve rehomed these wonderful, beloved kitties in good safe homes.

You can learn more about animal hoarding on the ASPCA website, but as stated, “It is a complex issue that often encompasses mental health, animal welfare and public safety concerns.”  The owner had over 30 kitty urns from his past cats displayed carefully – he truly, truly loved all animals.
