✨ Meet Horchata – Our Sweetest Survivor ✨

When Horchata first came to us, she was the most emaciated kitty we had ever rescued—barely 3.8 lbs, covered in fleas, and severely anemic. Thanks to your generosity and the excellent care from her foster, she has transformed into the loving, beautiful cat she was always meant to be. 💕

Now at over 8 lbs and filling out (check out the before and after pictures), Horchata is ready for her forever home!

Horchata’s Highlights:

• 🌸 Gorgeous 9–10-year-old spayed calico female (Spayed, vaccinated with an FVRCP booster, flea-treated, and dewormed three ways.)

• 💖 Extremely loving, loyal, and affectionate (she follows her foster everywhere)

• 🐾 Best as an only cat, or possibly with a gentle female or kitten companion (she has been around 2 other adult cats, she mostly just steers clear of them and focuses on her human)

• 🚪 Indoor-only life, please—she shadows her foster’s heels, clearly afraid of being abandoned again. We ask for a home without children or if with children age 10+ who understand the importance of keeping doors closed.

• 🏥 Excellent teeth for her age! She had a stress/starvation-induced URI flare-up that was successfully treated with doxycycline. Adopter needs to be aware of the fact we hope Horchata lives for at least another 10 years and that her adoption is at least a 10 year commitment to a wonderful, furry little best friend.

• ✅ SNAP tested negative for FIV/FeLV

• ✅ Great with her litterbox

• 📅 Originally microchipped in 2016, but her owner never responded—we’ll transfer the chip into her adopter’s name.
