Meet “Lulu”

Meet Lulu. This little miss is a true wonder of a kitty! She came from an criminal hoarding situation (more about that below), but she is one of the most attentive, cheerful, sweet kitties we’ve ever rescued. She is teeny tiny – although the guesstimate was between a year to two years old, she looks like a six month old. She also has bengal characteristics and patterns – just in a teeny tiny body. If you’ve ever wanted a kitty to train to be an agility kitty or circus kitty or TV actress kitty – Lulu has the personality and the looks to be trainable to that degree.

We (in partnership with another rescue with pull rights) rescued her from OC Animal Care Shelter. She was one of 83 cats and one dog rescued from an undefined (because of the lawsuit) hoarding situation. We all have our theories – ours is that it was a backyard breeding situation as the cats are all very attractive (either long haired or in Lulu’s case with a bengal patterned coat). Unlike her more shy housemates – she exudes love and energy. She literally wants to do what you want her to do – beginning with a giant purr from the moment we enter the quarantine facility. Then she doesn’t care nearly as much as about food as she does about playing with you, following you around, watching what you are doing. She is truly special.

When we first brought her with her five other more shy housemates to the adoption facility, the shyest one wouldn’t come out of the carrier – so Lulu went in and laid on top of him and purred and cleaned him and told him it was ok. Even though he was three times her size. She was like his own personal purring thunder jacket. We just can’t say enough how wonderful she is!

Great with other cats, in this case 83 of them (most likely will be good with a dog) and probably good with most children over the age of two. Adoption fee is $150 to a great INDOOR only home!

Lulu has been spayed, received her FVRCP + rabies vaccine, SNAP tested negative for FeLV and FIV, had a general health exam and is microchipped. Flea treated, de-wormed, and of course is litterbox trained.  According the the shelter notes she had kittens recently and they all died or were born prematurely and she suffered from pyometra as a result of overbreeding or breeding too young (usually this means more than once starting at 4 months old in a backyard breeder situation).

Located in San Diego. Don’t be shy – send a text or call us at 858-883-4222 to set up a meet and greet at her foster home. For even more info, check out JoannesFurryFriends.com.
