Meet “Peaches”

Peaches needs a FurrEver HOME! She is ready for adoption! Meet “Peaches.” This super soft furred, little ex-mama is not yet a year old. Miraculously, she managed to keep 8 kittens fed and alive on her tiny body while confined in a chicken coop. Peaches’ babies were the tiniest kittens for their age that we’ve ever seen. We are thrilled to say that they’ve all been adopted, now we just need to find Peaches her own family!!

Peaches LOVES chin rubs and her cardboard claw scratcher. OH we can’t forget – her biggest goal in life is to bury her toys every night in her litterbox – because she was raised with nothing but fear of more nothing (she is a toy hoarder). She is genuinely grateful for her new life and prefers dry food over soft food. She won’t cause any trouble with other kitties but will need the “3 days/3 weeks/3 months” theory to find her footing (read more about that below**). Due to her challenging start in life, she will do best in a quieter home without rambunctious little kids or overly intrusive dogs.  She is submissive to other kitties and in time will most likely learn how to play, she didn’t really get a chance to be a kitten. Peaches was entrusted to us at a defunct KFC just on this side of the border. She was handed to us, zipped inside a purse with her EIGHT kittens. She knew she needed help, so she didn’t let out  a peep.

Located in San Diego, but we are willing to bring her to the right family at NO cost to the adopter if in Southern California or even on a direct flight on Southwest or Alaska. Adoption fee waived as well to a great home!

Consider a trial adoption to see if she fits with your lifestyle (we will always take our kitties back)! All this little one wants and needs are chin scratches and love – she deserves a chance to experience the kittenhood she should have had the chance to enjoy. She will reciprocate your love tenfold.

She is spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated with her FVRCP + Rabies vaccine, and has been dewormed, defleaed, and is litterbox trained. ** Bringing a new cat into your home is a special journey, and it’s important to keep things real and relaxed. Here’s a little “Rule of Three” to guide you through your cat’s adjustment:

First Three Days: Just chill and give your new kitty space. The first three days are like their “getting used to things” phase. It helps to start them off in a cozy room, like a bathroom or bedroom, so they can get comfy and you can keep an eye on them.

Three Weeks In: After three weeks, your cat is likely catching onto your daily groove. It might be time to let them explore more of the house while keeping their favorite stuff, like scratching posts and litter boxes, nearby.

Three Months Later: Around the three-month mark, most cats have found their groove and feel right at home. It’s a journey that’s worth the patience and giggles, and it’s the start of a beautiful bond with your new fur-baby!
