Meet “Picasso”

Introducing Picasso! Come meet this extremely friendly, super adorable and charming litte guy 🐱. Approx 4-5 months old, Picasso is just a doll. He wants to be a snuggle bug at all times – even when playing he will cut romping with his brother short if any lap presents itself to snuggle in 💕. Picasso thinks poking your computer mouse is almost as much fun as putting his fanny on your laptop so he can demand all of your attention.😸

Picasso is also a purrfect example of why a kitty with a cropped ear does NOT mean the cat is FERAL. 🐱 It was dark, and we ended up trapping 8 cats that night, promising to return for more. However, it was very hard to distinguish which kitties were friendly and which were not when they were scared in traps. 😥 In this case, we even placed three kitties in one trap because we hadn’t planned for such a crazy situation. Picasso was one of our appointments with the humane society the next morning. It wasn’t until we picked him up and were driving him back to release him that he started purring and rubbing against the trap. We knew we couldn’t leave this sweet boy out on the streets, even though the Humane Society had zero problem doing so. 😔 Picasso’s cropped ear just makes him even more special. 🎨

Picasso is great with other cats 🐱, having lived with over 40! He’ll likely do well with friendly, cat-savvy dogs 🐕 and well-behaved children 👶. We’re asking for a $45 adoption fee to ensure Picasso finds a loving, indoor-only home 🏡. Picasso is neutered, up-to-date on his FVRCP + Rabies 💉, microchipped, flea-treated, dewormed, and litter box trained 🚽.

Picasso is at our Del Mar adoption location with 13 other kitties 🏠. Come meet them all! We’re overwhelmed, and our fosters are full, usually we dn’t have that many kitties in the same place at the same time 🐾❤️. Contact us at 858-883-4222 to arrange a meeting. Picasso and the other related 16 cats and kittens in our rescue 🐾 came from a home overwhelmed with cats. When we arrived to trap two or so cats, an unbelievable number of cats jumped into our car or went under are traps 🚗. A lot were pregnant or nursing, and 90% of them are SUPER FRIENDLY 😺. This situation highlights the need for free spay-neuter services, as two cats quickly became over 40 🐈➕. We’ve found more than eight litters in the past month 🍼, some in poor health because their families couldn’t afford vet care.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, all adoption fees and donations are tax deductible.
