Hi, I’m Pickle—a four-year-old neutered male with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Now… let’s address the obvious. Please don’t say it to our faces, but… yeah, we’re chunky boys. We’re currently on a diet—so calling all chubby chasers! We’re just two big love bugs in oversized suits. 😽. I was adopted as a kitten by a military couple, and I really thought I’d found my forever home. But life had other plans—my family had to move due to orders and didn’t leave enough time to rehome me and my buddy Gimili. Luckily, Joanne’s Furry Friends stepped in to help us with very short notice.
Even though the movers and all the commotion had me concerned, I’ve settled into my foster home very quickly. My new foster mom is in the military too, but she knows she’ll be moving again someday, so she chooses to foster rather than adopt—and we’re really grateful for her. I miss my original family and I’m still a little heartbroken, but I’m ready to find a real forever home. Like, ASAP.
We have full medical records for both me and Gimili. We’re both four years old—not littermates, but we were adopted together originally. Ideally, we’d be adopted together again, but if splitting us up makes room for other at-risk kitties, we’ll be okay. (We might pout a little at first.)
📍 Located in San Diego, California – but we’re happy to deliver adult cats throughout Southern California to the right INDOOR-ONLY homes. If you’re local, we can arrange a meet-and-greet. If you’re farther out, we’d be happy to bring Pickle (or both of us!) to you for a trial adoption.
Some rescues don’t allow military adopters, but we try really hard not to discriminate and to support our service members when we can. Can you help us find Pickle the loving forever home he deserves?
