Tikka is one of the prettiest, tiniest, and sweetest mama cats we’ve ever rescued. With her enormous emerald-green eyes, delicate little face, and petite body, she has an exotic look that makes everyone ask the same question…
Is she part Abyssinian?
We don’t know for sure, but whatever her heritage, she’s absolutely stunning.
Tikka is the devoted mama of our Curry Litter, rescued from one of the most dangerous places we’ve ever trapped cats.
This incredible little girl somehow kept all five of her kittens alive on the 28th Street on-ramp to Interstate 5 South. The family had made a home between a busy freeway on-ramp and a trucking yard, often hiding inside truck engines to stay safe.
By the time we received the call, one kitten had already disappeared. A coyote had been spotted nearby, and with speeding traffic, heavy trucks, and predators all around, there was simply no way this family could be safely returned through Trap-Neuter-Return.
So we brought them to safety. ❤️
Tikka did an amazing job raising her babies. They are now healthy, playful, and already bigger than their tiny mama! Now that her kittens are ready to find homes of their own, it’s finally Tikka’s turn to be someone’s baby.
She is incredibly affectionate and has a wonderfully mellow personality. As long as she has plenty of pets, plenty of food, and a loving person nearby, she’s perfectly content. She hasn’t been around dogs, but she takes just about everything in stride and would love a quiet indoor home where she can relax and enjoy the life she deserves after working so hard to raise her family.
