Panang is an absolutely stunning 9-week-old orange tabby with a heart as brave as she is beautiful. Female orange tabbies are uncommon, making this little girl extra special—but it’s her sweet personality and fearless spirit that truly make her one of a kind.
With her gorgeous orange coat and tons of bright white “chrome,” Panang is quite simply the most beautiful orange short-haired female tabby we’ve ever seen.
Panang is part of our “Curry Litter,” rescued from one of the most dangerous places we’ve ever trapped cats.
Her beautiful mama, Tikki, who looks like a mix of Abyssinian and Bengal, did everything she could to keep her babies alive on the 28th Street on-ramp to Interstate 5 South. The family had made a home between a busy freeway on-ramp and a trucking yard, often hiding inside truck engines to stay safe.
By the time we received the call, one kitten had already disappeared. A coyote had been spotted nearby, and with speeding traffic, heavy trucks, and predators all around, there was simply no way this family could be safely returned through Trap-Neuter-Return.
So we brought them to safety. ❤️
Panang wasted no time embracing her new life. She’s incredibly sweet, playful, curious, and remarkably brave. Whether she’s chasing toys, exploring every corner of the room, or racing around with the other kittens, she approaches everything with confidence and enthusiasm. She loves people, loves to play, and is always ready for her next adventure.
