Meet “Tau”

Some cats are playful. Some cats are independent.
And then there’s Tau. ❤️
Tau is the kind of cat who simply wants to be with you.
💻 Working on your computer? Tau will happily sit beside you all day.
🛋️ Watching TV? Tau is your cuddle buddy.
😴 Going to bed? Expect a warm, purring companion curled up next to you.
He is one of the easiest, sweetest, most affectionate cats we’ve ever rescued. He doesn’t ask for much—just a human to love and a home where he belongs.
🎅 Back in December 2024, Tau was one of our adorable Christmas kittens, posing in a Santa hat and heading off to what we thought was his forever family. We received updates and photos and believed he had found his happily ever after.
💔 Then, two weeks ago, I got a call from the Oceanside Humane Society.
Thankfully, I was still listed on his microchip.
Tau had been surrendered by his owner.
The reason? Her son went away to college, she wanted more freedom to travel, and Tau no longer fit into her plans.
Imagine losing your family through no fault of your own. 😢
Yet despite everything, Tau remains the most loving, trusting boy.
✨ He purrs the second you touch him.
✨ He adores people.
✨ He gets along with other cats.
✨ He wants nothing more than to spend his days by your side.
And he recently had a full veterinary exam:
✅ Neutered
✅ Vaccinated
✅ Microchipped
✅ Negative for FIV (Feline AIDS)
✅ Negative for FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
✅ Litterbox trained
🏡 Indoor-only home required
🚨 We urgently need to find Tau a home.
Not because there’s anything wrong with him—quite the opposite. He’s the kind of cat who should already be sleeping on someone’s pillow every night.
But while Tau waits, other cats are waiting too. We have an ear-tipped mama cat and five older kittens whose situation is becoming increasingly urgent, and we desperately need foster and adoption space to help them.
