Meet “Galaxy from Hemet”
🐾 Meet Galaxy — From Chaos to Cuddles
Galaxy is a stunning medium-haired flame point (my 16 year old daughter has fostered probably 1000 cats, but she said he was the most purrfectest baby of them all) with soulful blue eyes and a calm, affectionate nature. He’s the kind of kitten who leans into your hand for pets, curls up next to you just to be near, and plays gently with his siblings like a total gentleman.
But Galaxy’s start in life was anything but gentle.
He and his siblings — Comet, Star, Smokey, and Constellation — along with cousins Emmett (from Hemet!), Green*, and Tan*, were part of what we’ve dubbed Operation Working Steer Farm — a rescue effort involving 12 cats and kittens pulled from a seriously dangerous situation in rural Hemet.
They were living on a property next to what was likely a troubled home — a chaotic environment with loose dogs running wild, constant yelling, trash piles, and some very unsettling behavior toward the adult cats. Neighbors reported that cats were even being shot at with BB guns. It was loud, unstable, and deeply unsafe.
When things escalated, a kind woman who had been feeding the cats stepped in. She took them all in, hid them the best she could, and reached out for help. We answered the call — scrambling to find fosters, packing carriers in 100-degree heat, and giving meds in the back of a car. It was madness — but worth it.
🚨 These cats were in real danger. And now, Galaxy is safe — and ready for the life he always deserved.
🌌 Who Galaxy Is Now:
Galaxy is a gentle, social, and affectionate boy. He’s confident around people he trusts, sweet with his siblings, and respectful of adult cats. He’d do wonderfully in a quiet, loving home with people who appreciate his calm and cuddly nature.
He’s not just a pretty face — he’s a truly good soul.
🏠 Galaxy’s Ideal Home:
Indoor-only (after what he’s been through, no more outdoor risks)
He can learn to love dogs with a correct introduction
No children under 5, unless there are other cats in the home
A relaxed, cat-savvy environment
Bonus points for other friendly cats to snuggle and learn from
🩺 Adoption Details:
Neutered
Microchipped
First FVRCP vaccine
Flea-treated & dewormed
Litter box trained
💵 Adoption Fee: $200
(We know it’s steep — our neuter cost just jumped from $85 to $185. That fee doesn’t cover everything — vaccines, meds, food, microchips — but it keeps us saving cats like Galaxy.)
