Today’s spotlight is on handsome little 🍊 Gelato 🍊 — the bright orange boy from the Logan Heights litter. ❤️
Gelato is the definition of a calm, thoughtful little dude. 🧡 While his brothers are busy being chaotic kittens, Gelato likes to observe, think things through, and then casually join the fun. 😹 He LOVES his food 🍽️, loves to play 🎾, and has such a sweet, easygoing personality.
He isn’t the type to climb up your leg or bounce off the walls nonstop. He is more of a mellow little companion — the kind of kitten that settles in beside you, watches the world, and quietly steals your heart. 🥹✨
Five weeks ago, this family’s story became our most watched reel ever. A mama cat and her four tiny 3–4 week-old kittens were abandoned inside a Logan Heights apartment without food or water for over a week. Left behind with trash like their lives didn’t matter. 🗑️💔 The only water they had was the toilet. 🚽😞
Luckily, the Realtor refused to look the other way. 🙏 He contacted the Humane Society (who never came), and then his wife found us online. These cats were in SD Humane jurisdiction and could have been safely relinquished instead of abandoned to slowly starve.
I still can’t forget how desperately hungry mama Aperol was. 💔 The second I opened a can of food, she climbed right up my leg trying to get to it. Imagine what she had been through trying to keep her babies alive. 😞🐾
Now little Gelato is safe, healthy, neutered, and officially ready for adoption! 🎉🏡
