Meet “Opaline”
Opaline is a beautiful petite 5-year-old calico with the sweetest little habits.
Every night she brings the same purple toy mouse to bed, sleeps beside her foster mom… and in the morning she leaves the toy in the bed like a tiny gift.

Yes — she does toy delivery every single night, but that doesn’t slow her down with playing! She plays like a five month old kitten! She talks to her toys and plays with them while the other three cats watch. She is just a doll. Her foster mama and dad were able to easily trim her toenails – she will do just about anything for a treat!
Opaline is a gentle, observant girl who has been gaining confidence in her foster home and discovering that life can be pretty wonderful. She tells her toys allll about it while she is pouncing on them, flinging them and carrying them around!
Her favorite things include:
She’s the kind of cat who doesn’t demand attention — she simply becomes your little shadow and fills the house with calm, loving energy.
Despite being a little shy when we first brought her into the rescue, Opaline is now so brave. During a recent holiday party with lots of guests downstairs, she was the only one of four cats who came down to investigate the food and supervise the snacks while the others hid upstairs.

Opaline originally came from a very large group of cats after her owner passed away. By large we mean she has been in a medium dog crate inside a home with 30+ cats mostly crated their whole lives (plus 20+ in catios and another 20+ ferals free roaming). So moving into a light bright and clean home has been amazing for her! Despite everything she has been through, she has blossomed into a sweet, playful and affectionate companion.
She absolutely adores her foster brother Cheetoh, so she may enjoy a home with another friendly cat.
